Creating an Affiliate Website

Most Affiliate programs offer a ready to use promotional tools - some may give you text and banner ads. Some may give you pre-written articles and eZine solo Ads. Some even give a duplicatable website, which looks exactly like the main website but has your name and links embedded in it. So do you still need to have your own website to be a successful affiliate. The answer is still Yes!

Let's say you joined as an affiliate for a very popular product. At the least, you are competing with at least a hundred if not a thousand affiliates. Why would a customer want to buy from you and not from some other affiliate? He is getting the same product, he is paying the same amount of money, so he does not care whether he buys through your link or from xyz affiliate.

So how does having a website change this? For one thing, it adds credibility. Secondly, it helps the customer remember you, so that if he is not ready to buy now, he can bookmark your site and come back later. And most importantly, the website can be used to promote not just one affiliate product, but a variety of them at one place. If a particular product does not give you good response, just remove the link from your site and add another link. And your visitors will still be able to come back and see the changes.
