Health Drink for All
Take a cup of green gram (moong dal, payattam paruppu). Roast it on slow fire. keep the fire low and roast the green gram dry, without any oil or ghee.
Let it cool.
Grind it to a fine powder. Pass it through a sieve and take the finest powder.
Take two cups of sugar (three cups if you want it sweeter) and powder it separately.
Mix the green gram powder and the sugar powder and pass it through the sieve again. Add a bit of saffron and cardamom.
Store it in an air tight container and keep it in a cool place.
Add two spoons of this powder to a glass of milk and drink it once a day.
You can have the milk hot or cold.
This nutritious health drink is good for all ages and for athletes and sports persons.
