How do I post content to my website? The website I am going to prepare for you is similar to a WordPress blog. You can just type in your content and publish with one click - similar to your blogger blog. Step 1: Login Step 2: Click 'Write a Post' Step 3: Type title and content. Step 4: Click 'Publish' That is all there is to it. So you do not need to use Microsoft FrontPage or Dreamweaver and you have no need for Smartftp to post new content on your site. 3. Where do I find content for my website? You can write the content yourself. For example, you read in the newspaper something related to your topic. You can express your feelings about it on your site / blog. You can also write about the latest developments in your field based on what you read on the internet, what you watch on TV and what you come across in books and magazines. You can also get free articles, which you can publish on your site. Read how to get traffic to your website. I write articles with my resource box at the end of the articles. I submit them to the article directories. I use a free software that speeds up this process. To get one way links, I submit to directories using this free software: http://www.reviewsuseek.com/go/directory_submission.php You can also manually submit to each directory and social bookmarking site by going to the site, logging in and bookmarking your favorite sites. Submit your site to search engines like Google, Yahoo, MSN, AOL, etc. Bookmark your site in social bookmarking sites. 5. What are Social Bookmarking sites? These are sites where people bookmark their favorite sites. It makes it easy for people to access theri favorite sites wherever they are. The bookmarks can be made available to others. This way one can share one's favorite site with people who have a common interest. Once you bookmark your site or blog in Social Bookmarking sites, people who are interested in your topic will find your site and visit it. This way you get traffic. The following is a small list of bookmarking site. This is not a comprehensive list. There are many more like this. Once you create a blog post you ping services such as technorati. They list your blog and you get traffic from them to your blog. You can add the following ping list to your WordPress blogs. http://api.feedster.com/ping You copy the list, login and go to the admin area of your WordPress blog. Go to Options ---> Writing ----> and at the bottom you will see a box above which is written "When you publish a new post, WordPress automatically notifies the following site update services. For more about this, see Update Services on the Codex. Separate multiple service URLs with line breaks" Paste this ping list in the box. And every time you update your blog WordPress will automatically ping these services. Also download SmartUpdate Pinger that will ensure WordPress pings only when you publish a new post, not when you edit your post. This is necessary to avoid spam complaints from the pinging services. 7. I want to give my visitors a report or ebook to download from my website. How do I do that? To make the ebook available to your readers, you need to 1. Upload the ebook on your web server. For this you need a software. There are free and paid ftp programs. On the left you have the files on your desktop and on the right side your server where you have to upload them. You just click on a file on the left, hold your mouse and drag it to the right side. You will see the file being uploaded. Once you have uploaded you can give the file name as http://www.yourdomainname.com/filename.pdf This is only a sample - your file name will depend on where you upload it, whether you create a new folder for it or not, etc. etc. You have to give the exact location of the file for your website visitors to download. After you place the link on your website, you download it yourself to ensure that you have given the correct link. 7. What are some of the software you use? I use some free and some paid software to improve my earnings through my websites and blogs. I use Google AdSense - to check how much I have earned. I create channels to find out which adformat is performing better, I get important information about the page impressions and click through rates. I use Google Analytics - to get more details about my visitors, where they come from, what they are looking for, which content they like, how long they stay on my site, etc. I use an AdSense Tracker - This software provides me important details of my AdSense earnings. I use Web2Submitter - to submit my stories to sites such as Netscape and Digg. These are high PageRank social sites and I get a lot of traffic from them. I use ultra Bookmarker - to submit to the bookmarking sites. I use Directory Submitter - to submit my site to different directories. I use Article Submitter - to submit my articles to article directories. I use Niche Audio Content - to get loads of audio and text content for my sites. There is a free version and the paid version of Niche Audio Content gives me enough content to add hundreds of pages. And the content is extremely good. I use Audio Niche Blogs - I get three audio niche WordPress blogs every month on very carefully chosen themes. All that I need to do is to upload it on my server. I use Niche Empire Generator - to create SEO optimized, money making WordPress blogs quickly. I use Rapid Niche Websites - to create templates for niche sites, quickly and easily. Each site is unique with some common elements, which are necessary for making money online. For building my websites I use XSitePro. This software makes it easy for me to design beautiful sites, SEO Optimized and Google AdSense integrated. Building a site is as easy as posting on a blog. I don't have to use Microsoft FrontPage or Dreamweaver. I just type in and upload with one click. I use ThirdSphere Automation Station - to contact you through email. You signed up for 'Rangoo's Money Making Tips' through the form I created using ThirdSphere. Whenever I want to send out an email to all of my subscribers, I do it through ThirdSphere. This is my auto-responder. I also have some of my sites hosted here. Along with webhosting I also have the provision to create opt-in pages and send emails to my list.
